Lord, forgive me.  Everyday, I wake up and forget to pray.  I start the day without remembering to ask You to guide me, to protect me, and to help me shine Your light to everyone I come into contact with throughout the day.  Forgive me of pride, thinking I can do life without Your daily guidance.  The truth is, I need You every minute of everyday.

Father, please show me how to make You the first thought when I wake up, and the last thought when I go to sleep.

Bless our nation, Lord.  Protect our leaders and those who work so hard to defend us and watch over us, and those who heal us.
