Have you ever heard the expression, “if you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything”? I understand how one would believe this. At one point this year, I asked God “is this is as good as it is going to get?”, “am I just supposed to live with this until my Father takes me home?”
A dear friend reminded me of Psalm 103:
Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
While in this world, I am called to live for Christ…to glorify God and follow His plan for my life. I may not be great by the world’s standards, but by our Lord’s standards I am pure, lovely, righteous, precious, worthy…I am His beloved.
My health may fail me, but my Lord will always hold me close in His mighty hand.
Please enjoy the images I find on the Internet. They are such a blessing to my life. Maybe I should make a scrapbook of all the wonderful pictures and quotes I collect. Surely, there is an app for that!
God bless you and give you peace. <3
